Vitrified Bond Diamond & CBN Wheels

3M/General Industrial Diamond has designed and manufactured products to

 replace conventional abrasive wheels, as well as to improve upon currently used

vitrified bond diamond and CBN wheels.

Vitrified Diamond Features-Special carbide grinding applications, Special ceramic

grinding applications, Grinding of PCDN products.

Vitrified CBN-Grinding of hardened tool steels, bearing steels, high temperature

 steels and super alloys. Vitrified products feature controlled porosity and bond

structures that maximize retention of diamond/CBN particles and provide the

required stock removal rates and form retention. In addition, advanced core

materials and CBN types and coatings enable 3M/General to provide wheels

for conventional speed or high speed grinding.

Metal Bond Diamond & CBN Wheels

Metal bond products are produced utilizing the latest induction and furnace

heating techniques. Diamond & CBN wheels, blades, buttons, pellets, and drills

grind and cut carbides, glass, quartz, ceramics and concrete. These products

provide excellent for retention as well as abrasion and heat resistance when

grinding tough materials.

Plated & Brazed Single-Layer Products

3M/General Industrial Diamond manufactures plated and brazed single-layer

products utilizing diamond or CBN. Our CNC machining capabilities enable

us to provide rapid service. State of the art plating and bonding facilities

ensure accurate shaped and superior abrasive retention. Customers utilize
