Graver (see above). Sharpen with Power Hone (see p. 252) and dia-
mond wheel. Square graver has one end angled at 45°. Blank graver
is unground and can be custom-shaped. Both measure just under
designed for hammering and power engraving on molds and dies.
Requires no air compressor or special accessories. Uses standard
gravers to give you the feel of hand engraving with less effort and
fatigue. Includes a motor, manual speed controller, on/off foot
switch and #9D hammer handpiece with duplex spring.
The permanently lubricated ball-bearing motor provides quiet,
smooth-running operation. Features high torque at low speed to
supply the power needed to work with most tool steels. Can also be
used with many other types of hammer handpieces. Includes 39"
long shaft with an extra-flexible neoprene sheath.
Benchtop manual speed controller allows infinite speed adjustment
from 500 to 2,800 strokes per minute and keeps the speed you select
constant. On/off foot switch permits stopping and starting without
having to readjust speed.
The #9D handpiece includes three collets (
adjusting ring for changing impact force and palm rest for comfort-
able operation. Cannot be used with any other flex shaft motor.
